01
The problem
Traditional knowledge tools often separate reading, reflection, organization, and discovery into disconnected experiences. The opportunity was to create one environment that makes knowledge feel alive and worth returning to.
02
My role
- Set the product vision and experience standard
- Defined the interaction model, feature priorities, and content architecture
- Directed visual design, prototype development, original music and audio experience, and iterative quality review
- Created an internal consumer-experience audit approach to test clarity, functionality, premium feel, and return desire
03
The approach
I treated Bookself as a living estate rather than a collection of static pages. The product structure centers discovery, immersive spaces, meaningful interactions, original atmospheric audio, and a clear single-page experience. Features are prioritized through a product preflight: user goal, emotional effect, functional requirement, asset need, failure risk, and quality threshold.
04
What it demonstrates
The project demonstrates end-to-end product thinking: vision, user experience, roadmap decisions, content systems, interaction rules, quality assurance, and continuous iteration. It also serves as a growing platform for future learning and storytelling experiences.
05
What's next
Complete the unified interaction map, strengthen mobile performance, finish remaining estate modules, and formalize the Guest Eye product-quality scorecard.
